India celebrates Republic Day to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India.
An elaborate R-Day parade is held on New Delhi’s Rajpath (now known as Kartavya Path).
To buy parade tickets online, go to the Ministry of Defence’s official web portal at: www.aamantran.mod.gov.in. Login or create a new account.
Fill in the personal details such as name, DOB, mobile number, etc. You will get an OTP on your registered mobile number, and use it to authenticate your account.
Choose the option of ‘Republic Day Parade’ from a list of options like FDR (full dress rehearsal), Republic Day Parade, Republic Day Parade, and Beating the Retreat.
Provide attendee information by filing identity proof using government-issued identity cards like – PAN card, Aadhaar card, etc.
Complete the purchase by making an online payment.
You can buy offline Republic Day tickets from the Delhi Tourism Development Corporation (DTDC) counters, India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) travel counters, and Departmental Sale counters within Delhi.
Furthermore, you can also buy tickets from booths at Sena Bhawan, Pragati Maidan, Jantar Mantar, Shastri Bhawan, the Parliament House Reception Office, and the Government of India Tourist Office at Janpath.
To buy the tickets you will be asked to fill out a form with your details. You will also be asked to furnish an identity card and give a photocopy of the identity card, so make sure to carry them with you.
