Restaurant-style Tandoori Roti Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups whole wheat flour    3/4 tsp salt    1/2 tsp sugar    3/4 tsp baking powder    Baking soda, a pinch    3 tbsp yogurt    2 tbsp oil    Water, as required    Ghee, to drizzle on top

In a big bowl, mix together whole wheat flour, salt, sugar, baking powder and baking soda.

Once mixed, add in yogurt, oil and mix it again.

ow add water little by little and make a soft dough. Cover with a cloth and keep it aside for 30-45 minutes.

Now, make a ball from dough and roll into a little thick roti.

Apply water on one side and put the water side on the hot tawa. Press lightly so that it sticks to the tawa.

Once you see bubbles forming on top of the roti, turn the tawa upside down and cook the roti directly on the heat. 

 When you see brown spots appearing on the roti, it is cooked. Pour ghee and it is ready to be served.
