Rishabh Pant is set to make a return to Test cricket this month.
He has been named in India’s squad for the 1st Test against Bangladesh.
The Test series opener will be played at the MA Chidambaram in Chennai from September 19.
In Tests, Pant had last competed against Bangladesh in December 2022.
The wicketkeeper had registered knocks of 93 and 9 while playing in Mirpur.
Nearly a week after that Test, Pant suffered an unfortunate accident on December 30.
This led to the Pant being ruled out of professional cricket.
Pant made his comeback to competitive cricket in the IPL 2024 season.
He was also part of India’s T20 World Cup-winning squad earlier this year.
Pant will now be aiming to make an impactful return to Tests.
