Hardik Pandya, who was also a captaincy candidate will be Rohit's deputy
Rahul Dravid will remain India head coach till the end of the 2024 T20 World Cup
Rohit Sharma has led India in 54 T20Is, having won 41 of those
India are in Group A for the 2024 T20 World Cup, along with Pakistan, USA and Ireland
The much awaited India vs Pakistan clash will take place in New York on 9 June
