A lot of new faces will be seen in the South African squad for their multi-format home series vs India, from Dec 10, 2023 (Sun) to Jan 03, 2024 (Wed).
Aiden Markram will be captaining SA in T20Is and ODIs. Temba Bavuma will lead the Proteas in Tests.
Temba Bavuma and Kagiso Rabada have been rested for the T20I and ODI leg of the tour. They will return for Tests.
All-rounder Mihlali Mpongwana has got his maiden international call-up in ODI, and batters Tristan Stubbs and David Bedingham got their Test call-ups.
To-be-debutant fast bowler, Nandre Burger, has been named in the squads of all three format IND vs SA 2023-24 matches.
The complete SA T20I squad includes- Aiden Markram (c), Ottniel Baartman, Matthew Breetzke, Nandre Burger, Gerald Coetzee, Donovan Ferreira, Reeza Hendricks, Marco Jansen, Heinrich Klaasen, Keshav Maharaj, David Miller, Lungi Ngidi, Andile Phehlukwayo, Tabraiz Shamsi, Tristan Stubbs and Lizaad Williams.
Gerald Coetzee, Marco Jansen and Lungi Ngidi will skip the final T20I and ODIs to prep for red-ball cricket in their domestic first-class matches.
