Secure WhatsApp Using Fingerprint or FaceID: How to Set Up

WhatsApp offers users the ability to unlock the app using fingerprint or FaceID authentication.

This feature has existed for a while but users are not aware of it.

You can do this on both—Android and iOS.

To enable this feature, follow these steps:

Open WhatsApp Settings > Go to Privacy.

Look for Fingerprint lock/Screen Lock, and open it.

Now, enable Unlock with fingerprint or Require FaceID (iPhone).

You will still be able answer calls even if your WhatsApp is locked.

You can disable the feature later if it doesn't suit you.
