Women entrepreneurs have significantly impacted the startup ecosystem. According to the ASK Private Wealth Hurun India Future Unicorn Index 2024, 20 women entrepreneurs from 19 companies have co-founded 5 Gazelles and 14 Cheetahs. A look at the Gazelles:
Manju Dhawan, 58, co-founded Ecom Express, a technology-enabled logistics solutions provider for India's retail and e-commerce sector. She is the oldest female co-founder on the index.
Prukalpa Sankar is the is the co-founder at Atlan, a SaaS starup.
Vrushali Prasade, 29, co-founded Pixis, a codeless AI marketing infrastructure company. She is the youngest female co-founder on the index.
Kshama Fernandes, co-founded Northern Arc, a diversified financial services platform.
Stephanie Powell Dua, co-founded Begin, an early learning edtech startup.
Although not a Gazelle, Heads Up For Tails, co-founded by Rashi Narang and Ridhima Coelho, is the only company in the index with two female founders.
