Simple And Tasty No Oven Tandoori Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

500 g chicken (drumsticks or thighs) 1 cup yogurt 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste 1 tbsp lemon juice 1 tsp red chili powder 1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp garam masala 1 tsp cumin powder 1 tsp coriander powder 2 tbsp oil Salt to taste Fresh coriander (for garnish)

In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt.

Coat the chicken pieces in the prepared marinade. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

Add 2 tbsp oil in a deep non-stick pan and heat on medium flame.

Place the marinated chicken pieces in the pan. Sear each side of the pieces for about 5-6 minutes.

Cover the pan with a lid, and let the chicken cook for 15-20 minutes, flipping occasionally.

For the smoky tandoori flavour, heat a piece of charcoal on the stove until red hot. Place it in a small bowl inside the pan and drop a little ghee or oil on it.

Cover the pan to let the smoke infuse for 5 minutes. Then take out the charcoal piece.

Cook the chicken uncovered for another 5 minutes on high heat to get that charred, tandoori effect.

Garnish the chicken with fresh coriander and serve hot with onions, and your favorite dipping sauce.
