Simple Recipe To Make Malpua At Home This Janmashtami

1. Ingredients: 1 cup flour (maida) 1/4 cup semolina (sooji/rava) 1/4 cup milk powder 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup milk 1/4 cup water (or as needed) 1/4 tsp cardamom powder A pinch of fennel seeds (saunf) A pinch of baking powder Ghee or oil for frying 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional) 1/4 cup sugar syrup (optional)

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, semolina, sugar, cardamom powder, and fennel seeds.

Then gradually add milk and water to the it, whisking continuously to form a smooth, lump-free batter.

Add a pinch of baking powder to the batter. It should be slightly thick but pourable.

 Let the batter rest for about 15-20 mins. Then heat ghee or oil in a deep frying pan on medium heat.
