South Africa's Road to the T20 World Cup  Semi-Final

South Africa kicked off their T20 World Cup 2024 journey with a 6-wicket win against Sri Lanka.

The Proteas continued their winning run against the Netherlands, Bangladesh and Nepal.

South Africa qualified for the Super Eight as the table-toppers in Group D of the T20 World Cup.

South Africa kept their unbeaten run intact winning all three games at the Super Eight stage.

They won against the USA, England and West Indies in this round.

South Africa claimed an 18-run win against co-hosts USA.

They got the better of defending champs England by 7 runs.

Against West Indies, the Aiden Markram-led side secured a  3-wicket (DLS method) win.

A loss against the Caribbean side would have resulted in South Africa’s elimination.

In the semis, South Africa will take on Afghanistan on Thursday, June 27.
