Ingredients for the marinade: Chicken - 1 kg Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp Lime juice - 1 tbsp Oil - 1 tbsp Salt (as per taste)
ngredients for the paste: Tomatoes - 2 Green chillies - 2 Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp Chilli powder - 1 tsp Black cardamoms - 2 Cloves - 2 Water - 1 cup
Ingredients for sauteing: Onion, sliced - 2 Ginger, finely chopped - 1/2 tsp Green chillies - 3 Chilli powder - 2 tsp Turmeric powder - 1 tsp Garam masala - 3/4 tsp Kasuri methi - 1/2 tsp Cream - 1 cup
Step 1 Marinate chicken with the ingredients mentioned and keep it aside for a while.
Step 2 Grind all the ingredients for the tomato paste into a fine paste. In a frying pan, shallow fry chicken pieces to light brown colour.
Step 3 In the same oil add onion, ginger, and green chillies for sauteing and stir till onion turns golden brown. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and kasuri methi.
Step 4 Now add the tomato mixture and a cup of water. Once it boils, add fried chicken pieces and mix everything.
Step 5 Add a little bit of salt if required. Pop the lid on and cook for 10 minutes on medium heat.
Step 6 Once finished cooking, add a cup of cream to give it a rich taste.
