What to eat and avoid?

Clear Liquids:  Drink clear liquids like water, electrolyte solutions, and clear broths to stay hydrated and replace lost fluids

Oral Rehydration Solutions:  Consume oral rehydration solutions that contain electrolytes to replenish lost salts and minerals 

Ginger Tea:  Ginger can help soothe nausea. Try ginger tea or ginger-infused water

Bananas:  Bananas are easy to digest and provide potassium, an electrolyte that may be depleted during vomiting and diarrhea

Rice: Plain white rice is a bland and easily digestible source of carbohydrates

Applesauce: Unsweetened applesauce is gentle on the stomach and provides some calories

Boiled Potatoes:  Boiled or mashed potatoes can be a good source of easily digestible energy
