Suffering from PCOS?  Here's foods to eat and to avoid

PCOS people have high insulin levels because it goes unused in the body, raising blood sugar levels. Fenugreek seeds enhance not just glucose control but also insulin resistance, which is essential for managing PCOS.

EAT - Fenugreek Seeds

Highly processed foods like sugary snacks, fast food, and sugary cereals should be limited or avoided. They often contain trans fats and high levels of refined sugars, which can worsen insulin resistance and inflammation.

AVOID - Processed Foods

Spinach and kale are high in folate and B vitamins, which help with hirsutism, insulin management, and fertility.

Some women with PCOS are sensitive to dairy products, particularly those containing high levels of lactose. Opt for lactose-free or dairy alternatives like almond or soy milk.

AVOID -  Dairy Products

Include natural probiotics like yoghurt, fermented tea (kombucha), sauerkraut, and pickles in your diet, they help with PCOD maintaining a good digestive health.

Foods with a high glycaemic index (GI) can cause rapid increases in blood sugar levels. Avoid white potatoes, sugary cereals, and white rice.
