Suryakumar Yadav Suffers Hand Injury Ahead Of Duleep Trophy

Suryakumar Yadav sustained an injury days before the Duleep Trophy.

The batter hurt his hands while fielding in the Buchi Babu Invitational tournament.

Due to his injury, Surya couldn’t bat in Mumbai’s second innings. 

He hit three fours and a six to register 30 runs in the first innings.

Surya is set to represent the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Team C in the Duleep Trophy.

His availability, however, remains subject to the condition of his injury.

Known as a white-ball specialist, Surya seeks a return to the Indian Test squad.

It has been nearly 19 months since he last played a Test. 

The 33-year-old made his Test debut in a Nagpur against Australia last year.

He has aggregated 5,628 runs in his 82 appearances  in first-class cricket.
