Afghanistan stayed in the T20 World Cup race by beating Australia by 21 runs at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown on Sunday.
Batting first, Rahmanullah Gurbaz gave Afghanistan a powerful start with his 60 off 49. Australia couldn't receive their breakthrough until the 16th over.
His opening partner, Ibrahim Zadran also scored a fifty. With their stellar partnership, the duo became the first pair to put up three century stands in any T20I series.
Pat Cummins' 3/28 (4) and Adam Zampa's 2/28 (4) restricted the Afghans to 148/6. Cummins also recorded his second consecutive match hat-trick of the tournament.
In Australia's chase, after the top order's crumbling, Glenn Maxwell's 59 (41) helped bring his side back to the game.
But a lack of stable partnership with any batter, put Maxwell's efforts to vain as the Aussies were all-out at 127 in 19.2 overs.
Gulbadin Naib was the chief contributor to Australia's doom by recording 4/20 (4). Naveen-ul-Haq also picked up 3 for 20 in 4 overs.
