T20 World Cup 2024: New York Pitches Get Six 'Satisfactory' Ratings By ICC

The ICC has released the pitch ratings for the 2024 T20 World Cup.

The makeshift Nassau County Stadium has got "satisfactory" ratings for six matches.

The venue in New York hosted eight fixtures, including the India-Pakistan game.

All these matches turned out to be low-scoring contests.

The average first-innings score in New York was 107.6.

Many experts and fans criticised the surface for being too sluggish.

The ICC has given an “unsatisfactory” rating for India’s first game against Ireland.

The pitch used for the Sri Lanka vs South Africa failed to impress the match referee.

Adelaide Oval’s Damina Hough curated the drop-in tracks for the Nassau County Stadium.

The pitches allegedly had uneven bounce, causing trouble for the batters.
