England beat USA by 10 wickets, as they chased down the target in just 9.4 overs after getting the co-hosts all-out at 115 at Kensington Oval on Sunday (June 23).
Put to bat first, USA was moving steadily ahead in the match, with Nitish Kumar's 30 off 24 and Corey Anderson's 29 (28).
Harmeet Singh chipped in 21 off 17, but Sam Curran thwarted his efforts at 17.6 overs. USA stood at 115/6 then.
Unexpectedly, in the next over, Chris Jordan took a hat-trick and USA got bundled out in 18.5 overs, staying at 115.
Jordan recorded four-fer in 2.5 overs conceding just 10 runs. Adil Rashid also recorded impressive figures of 2/13 (4).
Skipper Jos Buttler shone in the second innings, smashing 83 off 38, including 7 sixes and 6 fours.
His opening partner Phil Salt assisted him by scoring 25 off 21, clinching a 10-wicket win with 62 balls to spare.
The victory took England to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2024.
