Nicholas Pooran missed scoring a century by just 2 runs as he smashed 98 off 53, before being run out by Omarzai.
Skipper Rovman Powell and Shai Hope also chipped in with 20+ runs each, helping WI register a big total of 218/5.
In Afghanistan's run chase, Ibrahim Zadran top-scored with 38 off 28, assisted by Omarzai's 23 off 19.
Zadran reached a milestone of 3000 international runs, including 1000 T20I runs during the match.
Obed McCoy was a big part of the second-innings success of West Indies as he took three wickets in three overs.
Akeal Hosein and Gudakesh Motie also scalped two wickets each, bundling out the Afghans for 114 in 16.2 overs.
