West Indies beat Uganda in their second T20 World Cup 2024 match by a big margin of 134 runs at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Sunday (June 9).
Batting first, West Indies posted 173/5, powered by Johnson Charles' 44 off 42 and Andre Russell's quickfire 30 off 17.
Nicholas Pooran, skipper Rovman Powell and Sherfane Rutherford kept the middle-order going with 20+ runs each.
In the second innings, Akeal Hosein wrecked Uganda's top and middle order with his fifer as they could not cross the single-digit mark.
Juma Miyagi top-scorer for Uganda with an unbeaten 13 off 20.
Then Alzarri Joseph bowled out Frank Nsubuga for a duck, leading to Uganda getting all-out at just 39 in 12 overs.
With that, Uganda equalled Netherlands’ 10-year-old record for the lowest total in T20 World Cups.
