Dates and walnut kheer is a quick and easy dessert to curb your sweet cravings. Try this tasty dates and walnut kheer recipe for your post-dinner dessert option.
Ingredients Milk - 1 ltr Dates (de-seeded and chopped) - 1/2 kg Sugar - 1/2 cup Walnuts (chopped) - 1/2 cup Oats - 3 tbsp Roasted almonds (chopped) - 4 tbsp Fresh cream - 300 ml Water - 2 cups
Step 1 Take a non-stick pan add dates and water and cook on a low flame till the dates turn soft. Allow the dates to cool.
Step 2 Use a blender to make a fine paste of dates with 100 ml milk.
Step 3 Heat the remaining milk in another pan and cook it on low flame. Add sugar and the date paste and mix well.
Step 4 Add oats and half the quantity of crushed walnuts and almonds, and bring to a boil.
Step 5 Cool the mixture and refrigerate it. While serving steer in the cream and garnish with remaining nuts.
