Tasty Kerala Style Prawn Curry Recipe

Prawns (cleaned and deveined) - 500 gram Grated coconut - 1 cup Grated ginger - 1 inch Garlic - 4 cloves Shallots - 4 Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon Chili powder - 1 teaspoon Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon Fennel seeds - 1 teaspoon Oil - 2 tablespoon Thinly-sliced onion - 1 Tamarind pulp - 1 tablespoon Water - as needed Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish

Ingredients

In a blender, blend together grated coconut, ginger, garlic, shallots, and the mentioned spices to make a paste.

Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions until golden brown.

Add the coconut paste and cook until the oil separates.

Next, add tamarind pulp, water, and bring to a boil.

Now add prawns and simmer until cooked through.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve the Kerala prawn curry hot with rice or appam.
