Khasta kachoris are an absolute delight and a crowd favourite. Try this tasty khasta dal kachori recipe at home.
Coriander - 1 tbsp Fennel seeds - 1 tbsp Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp Kasoori methi - 1/2 tsp Chili powder - 3 tsp Black salt - 1 tsp Garam masala - A pinch Black pepper - 1/2 tsp Besan - 1/3 cup Soaked moong dal - 1/2 cup Ginger - 1/2 tsp Garlic - 1/2 tsp Oil - For frying Flour - 2 cups Salt - As per taste Ghee - 1/4 cup
In a hot pan with oil, add the spices and sauté till you smell the aroma. Add the besan and saute for a while.
Add the crushed soaked dal to the pan and continue cooking the entire thing for 5 minutes.
In a bowl, mix the flour, regular salt, and ghee to form a shaggy dough. Incorporate some water and knead.
Once fully kneaded, set it aside, and cover it with a damp cloth to rest.
Form little balls of the masala and circles from the dough. Create the kachoris. Deep fry the kachoris until golden brown and cook all the way.
Serve alongside green and red chutney.
