Made with a rich melange of flavours including ingredients like whole spices, desiccated coconut, chicken pieces, and more, try this tasty Konkani-style chicken curry recipe at home.
Ingredients
Chicken pieces - 500 gm
Onion, chopped - 2
Tomato, chopped - 1
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Desiccated coconut - 1 cup
Bay leaf - 2
Black peppercorns - 6
Cloves - 2
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Star anise - 1
Potatoes - 2 small
Step 1
Marinate chicken pieces in a mix of salt, turmeric powder, red chilli, and ginger garlic paste. Mix everything well.
Step 2
Heat oil in a kadhai, add whole spices, and onion. Add tomatoes, mix, and let them turn mushy.
Step 3
Prepare a smooth puree of coconut and water. Now, pour this mix into the kadhai and cook it properly.
Step 4
Add chicken pieces and mix them well.
Step 5
Once the mix turns thick and the chicken pieces are tender. Serve it hot.
