Tasty South Indian Oats Upma Recipe

Ingredients: 1 cup oats, ¼ cup finely chopped onions, ¼ cup finely chopped carrots, ¼ cup finely chopped green beans, ¼ cup green peas

Ingredients: 1 tsp chana dal, 1 tsp urad dal, 8 cashew, ½ tsp ginger, 1 green chilli, 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

Roast oats in a pan till crispy. Set aside.

Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds.

Add cumin seeds, cashew, chana dal, and urad dal.

Add onions and saute well. Add ginger, curry leaves, and green chillies.

Add carrots, beans, peas, to the mix. Add water. Cook for 8 minutes.

Add in the oats. Cook for 8 minutes. Serve hot with a squeeze of lemon and coriander leaves.
