Telangana CM Inauguration: Meet MLAs who took oath alongside Revanth Reddy

Anumula Revanth Reddy became the new chief minister of Telangana on Thursday, December 7, after leading the Congress to a historic win in the Assembly elections. Along with Reddy, 11 other Congress leaders took the oath. Here is who they are:

Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu

Deputy CM of Telangana. He is the CLP leader and the second LoP in the Telangana assembly. He has been an MLA since 2009 and a prominent face in the polls.

Uttam Kumar Reddy

Former IAF pilot. He won from Huzurnagar and is a member of Lok Sabha’s defence committee. He was also a cabinet minister in undivided Andhra Pradesh.

Damodar Rajanarasimha

Ex-Deputy CM of AP. He held the position of Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh from 2011 to 2014. He won from Andole constituency in Telangana elections.

Komatireddy Venkat Reddy

Four-term MLA. He won from Nalgonda constituency in Telangana elections. He has been an MLA since 2004 and a strong leader of the Congress party.

Duddilla Sridhar Babu

Manifesto committee chairman. He is the son of the late D Sripada Rao and was born in 1969. He won from Manthani for a record three terms. He was also a minister in AP.

Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy

Former MP of Khammam. He won from Palair constituency in Telangana elections. He represented the Khammam Lok Sabha constituency from 2014 to 2019.

Ponnam Prabhakar

OBC leader from Karimnagar. He won from Husnabad constituency with over 19,000 votes. He is a former MP and has lost the elections twice before. 

Konda Surekha

Veteran Congress leader. She won from Warangal East seat with 67,757 votes against BJP. She has been working in the Congress party since 1996. 

Anasuya Seethakka

Adivasi Koya tribe leader. She won from Mulug constituency in Telangana elections. She is also a social activist and a champion of tribal rights.

Tummala Nageswara Rao

4-term minister. He won from Khammam constituency in Telangana elections. He was a minister in AP government and switched parties several times.

Jupally Krishna Rao

Former Telangana minister. He won from Kollapur constituency in Telangana elections. He was a minister of panchayat raj and rural development in Telangana.

Gaddam Prasad Kumar

Speaker of Telangana assembly. He won from Vikarabad constituency in Telangana elections. He is a senior Congress leader and a former MLA.
