Youngistaan: Youngistaan, starring Neha Sharma and Jackky Bhagnani, was a remake of the Telugu hit film Leader featuring Rana Daggubati. The film follows the story of a young man raised in a political family, who is forced to join politics after the sudden demise of his father, who was also the Prime Minister of the country. Unfortunately, the film is only remembered for the song Suno Na Sangemarmar, while the other aspects of the film failed to impress the audience.
Big Brother: The film featuring Sunny Deol and Priyanka Chopra is based on Rajinikanth’s Baashha. The film could obviously not match the scale of the original, in terms of acting and aesthetics, even though the storyline was the same.
Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai: Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tusshar Kapoor’s was a remake of the Telugu film Tholi Prema, starring Pawan Kalyan and Keerthy Reddy in the lead roles. The music album was a big hit but the film couldn’t create any major hype at the box office.
Run: The romantic-action film, featuring Abhishek Bachchan and Bhomika Chawla, revolves around the love story of two college sweethearts, where the girl’s brother is a gangster and refuses to allow her to be with the man of her choice. The film, which was the remake of R Madhavan’s South film of the same name, fell flat at the box office.
Tevar: Mahesh Babu’s hit Okkadu is unmatchable, but it turned out to be a disaster when it was remade in Hindi, featuring Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha. The film revolves around a Kabbadi player, who falls in love with a woman he tries to save. The film wasn’t a big hit among the audience.
