THIS New Privacy Feature on WhatsApp will Protect Your IP Address

WhatsApp is rolling out a new privacy feature to protect the IP address in calls.

A new Advanced section has been introduced in the privacy settings screen of WhatsApp.

This section contains the new ‘protect IP address in calls’ option.

It will ensure a more secure experience during voice and video calls.

It will prevent others on a call from finding your location and IP address.

Calls made on your device will be securely routed through WhatsApp servers.

Even with this feature enabled, your calls will remain end-to-end encrypted.

However there may be a slight reduction in call quality.

The new privacy feature is currently accessible to select beta testers.
