Holi will be celebrated on March 25 this year. Before you play Holi, protect your skin with these easy steps...
Apply oil on your hair before you play Holi. Dry hair can absorb more colour, which in turn can lead to brittle, damaged strands.
Avoid playing Holi with harsh colours as they can cause significant damage to your skin. Stick to organic gulaal and rang for safeguarding your skin.
An hour before you play Holi, apply body lotion generously all over your body. Oils and lotions create a barrier on the skin and do not allow colours to penetrate.
Don’t forget to put Vaseline or lotion under your nails – or it will be difficult to get rid of the colour later. Also apply lip balm before stepping out to play Holi.
Wear long-sleeved clothes to minimise exposure to harmful colours. Keep your legs covered and moisturised too.
Apply sunscreen on Holi day to ensure your skin doesn’t suffer from long hours under the sun.
