Onions tend to leave a pungent smell in the vessel or utensil that they are kept in.
Not to worry there are some kitchen ingredients that can help you get rid of the odour.
Lemon
Lemons are a great way to remove the pungent smell. You can either soak the utensils in lemon water or scrub lemons directly over them.
Vinegar
Vinegar, another acidic component, can be used to wash off the strong smell of onions from your utensils. Wash utensils and then pour vinegar into them and rinse later.
Coffee powder
Keep some coffee powder inside the smelly vessel. The strong smell of coffee will replace the pungent odour of onions.
Baking Soda
Baking Soda is not just effective in removing stubborn stains but also helps remove foul odour. Mix it with water, apply it to the utensil and let it sit for some time, then wash it. And voila! The smell is gone.
Cinnamon
Boil some cinnamon and allow it to cool down. Then add the foul-smelling utensils in it and let it sit for some time. After keeping them overnight, wash them in the morning to get fresh-smelling vessels.
