Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani’s film ‘Dunki’ is set for a global release on December 21. This could be SRK’s third hit of the year.
Shahrukh Khan’s first collaboration with director Rajkumar Hirani after previous attempts didn’t work out.

The production cost for ‘Dunki’ is a modest Rs 85 crores, excluding the fees for the cast and crew. This makes it the lowest budget SRK film in the last six years.
The overall budget, including talent fees and publicity expenses, is estimated to be around Rs 120 crores.
Hirani completed the shooting of ‘Dunki’ in just 75 days, with Shah Rukh Khan contributing to 60 of those days.
‘Dunki’ has already secured lucrative non-theatrical rights, already making a profit of around Rs 100 crore before its theatrical release.
The film was previously titled “Return Ticket” and “Toss” before settling on the current title.
This is the first Rajkumar Hirani movie not produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
This is Tapsee Pannu’s first film with the Khans of Hindi cinema.
Satish Shah returns to Hindi films after a 9-year hiatus, last seen in ‘Humshakals’ in 2014 and web series Sarabhai vs Sarabhai Take 2 in 2017.
