A total solar eclipse will darken skies on April 8. As per NASA, after beginning over the South Pacific Ocean, the eclipse will be seen in its first location at around 11:37 pm IST.
Date and Time of Happening
During then, the moon will line up perfectly to block the face of the sun, creating a total solar eclipse. Mexico's Pacific coast will be the first to witness it in its totality.
It's Origin Details
It shifts from a partial eclipse to totality when the moon completely blocks the sun. Totality lasts 4 minutes and 28 seconds at most.
Phases of the Eclipse
Temperatures will drop around 10 degrees Fahrenheit (5 degrees Celsius) in the parts of the world that will be experiencing the eclipse.
Effects of the Eclipse
NASA heliophysics analysis lead, Patrick Koehn, told The Verge that it is "twice in a lifetime opportunity to see something like this (total solar eclipse).”

NASA will livestream the event starting at 10:30 pm IST. You can watch on the agency’s website or the NASA Plus streaming service.
Where to Watch it?
The solar eclipse will only be visible in North America, Mexico, the United States, and Canada. India won't be witnessing it this time.
