Travelling from Mumbai to Pune will get a lot more fast and comfortable soon, with PM Modi’s new initiative.
The shortest train route between the two places consists of 59 stations, stretching an area of about 120 km.
The Vande Bharat Express train from Mumbai to Solapur via Pune would enable passengers to reach Pune in just 3 hours.
It will be a suitable option for people who have to travel to-and-from the cities for some urgent business.
The ticket prices for the CSMT-Pune-Solapur express, however will be quite expensive, because of the kind of service they are offering.
The Chair Car (CC) fare for Mumbai-Pune distance will be Rs 560 without catering and Rs 1135 for Executive Chair (EC) car.
The reason for it being so pricey is that it boasts safety measures, including Train Collision Avoidance System - KAVACH.
The Vande Bharat Express also provides reclining seats in all classes, and Executive Coaches offer 180-degree rotating seats.
