US President Joe Biden on Sunday, July 21, announced his decision to withdraw from the electoral race.

Following his exit, Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the new nominee.

Former US President Barack Obama responded to Biden's decision with a 542-word statement, in which he praised Biden's performance in the White House but stopped short of endorsing Kamala Harris.

In contrast, former President Bill Clinton and his family have openly declared their support for Kamala Harris.
