India's Asia Cup 2023 Super Four Stage clash vs Pakistan was pushed into the reserve day
It was a delayed start on the reserve day with KL Rahul and Virat Kohli hoping to build on the good start by openers
And what followed was a record-breaking effort from the pair as they bossed over Pakistan's much vaunted pace attack
Together Rahul and Kohli stitched an unbroken partnership of 233 runs for the third wicket in Colombo
And thus created a new record for the highest partnership for India in an ODI against Pakistan
Both Rahul and Kohli went on to score their centuries as India posted a mammoth 356/2
They thus broke the previous record of 231 set by Sachin Tendulkar and Navjot Singh Sidhu in 1996
Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma have the third best India partnership record of 210 vs Pakistan
Rahul Dravid and Virender Sehwag have the next best - 201 vs Pakistan in Kochi
233* is the 2nd best stand for 3rd wicket in ODIs for India after 237* between Tendulkar & Dravid vs Kenya in 1999
