Volkswagen unveils ID. Buzz GTX, a Golf GTI rival with ChatGPT onboard

GTX Treatment

The ID. Buzz is Volkswagen’s latest model to receive the ‘GTX’ treatment, becoming the most powerful factory microbus ever.

Dual Powertrain

It boasts a dual electric powertrain, delivering 335bhp (134 more than standard) via the 4Motion all-wheel drive system.

Impressive Speed

VW claims ID. Buzz accelerates to 62mph in 6.5s with a top speed, electronically limited, of 160 km/h, rivaling the Golf GTI.

Flexible Seating

Choose from a five, six, or seven-seat cabin, catering to a variety of passenger needs.

Two Wheelbases

It offers two wheelbase lengths: standard (with a 79kWh battery) and long (with an 86kWh battery and an extra 25cm).

Range Estimates

While range estimates are pending, the base model has a range of 258. Fast charging can reach 80% in 26 minutes.

Interior Upgrade

The interior features black headliners, diamond-patterned seat upholstery in black micro fleece, and red stitching.

Optional Extras

Optional extras include a head-up display and a full panoramic sunroof that can switch between transparent and opaque filters.

Multimedia Screen

A larger 12.9in multimedia screen and an illuminated touch bar for various controls enhance the user experience.

Voice Assistant

The ID. Buzz includes a new voice assistant, powered by the AI bot ChatGPT.

Indian Market

While ID. Buzz’s India launch remains unconfirmed, its US pricing will be announced soon. Meanwhile, VW plans to launch ID4 in India in 2024.
