WhatsApp Could Bring Ads for Users: Report
WhatsApp is reportedly testing ads on the messaging app for users.
Reports on Friday said that WhatsApp could have ads between chats for users.
WhatsApp has denied the reports and confirmed it is not exploring such ideas.
The Meta-owned platform was acquired by Facebook in a reported $16 billion deal in 2014.
Ever since then, many have speculated that WhatsApp was eventually going to become a paid service.
The free users will be shown ads and the new report doesn't come as a surprise.
Meta has already launched paid service for Facebook and Instagram called Verified.
Using this service, you can get accounts verfied for an annual fee, like X Blue.
WhatsApp has a lot of features that leaves room for a similar paid service.
