Who was Sid Vicious, Former WWE Champion Who Passed Away

Former WWE and WCW Champion Sid Vicious passed away at 63 on Monday (Aug 26) after a long battle with cancer.

Sid Vicious (real name Sidney Raymond Eudy) was known for his towering 6'9" frame and his intense persona.

In 1989, he joined WCW and made his mark in wrestling by facing legends like The Steiner Brothers, Road Warriors & Four Horsemen.

He debuted in WWE in July 1991 under the name Sid Justice, and served as the Special Guest Referee at SummerSlam.

After a hiatus, Sid returned to WWE in 1995 as 'Sycho Sid'. He was Shawn Michaels' bodyguard during WrestleMania XI.

Then Sid clinched the WWE Championship from Michaels at Survivor Series 1996 and won it again in 1997 by beating Bret Hart.

He was also a two-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, headlining major events like WrestleMania VIII and XIII.

After suffering a leg injury in 2001, Sid's bout participated reduced subsequently. He last fought in the year 2017.
