Why Was Justin Timberlake Arrested?

Justin Timberlake was arrested in the Hamptons in New York state for allegedly driving while intoxicated.

TMZ reported that he had been partying at the American Hotel with his friends.

Cops stopped his car for driving through a stop sign.

The singer allegedly refused a breath analyzer test and failed a field sobriety test.

“I had one martini and I followed my friends home," said Timberlake.

He was formally charged and made to appear in court where he was released without bail.

The next virtual hearing in the case is set for July 26.

The pop star has previously spoken about seeking help for alcoholism.

Timberlake is currently on a tour and has two performances in Chicago next weekend.

The 43-year-old singer’s global tour is for his 6th album, Everything I Thought It Was.
