World Cup 2023: Hits and flops from the tournament 

Virat Kohli was certainly a hit in the tournament, breaking Sachin Tendulkar's record for most hundreds apart from scoring 765 runs in the tournament 

Quinton de Kock too enjoyed a fantastic run with the bat, scoring 594 runs from 10 matches 

New Zealand's Rachin Ravindra slammed three centuries and two fifties in his debut World Cup, finishing with 578 runs  

Adam Zampa was the standout Australia bowler, finishing with 23 wickets 

Babar Azam was a flop this World Cup, managing just 320 runs from nine matches while his caotaincy also came under question 

Jos Buttler too was a flop at the World Cup, having failed to go past the 50-run mark even once 

Shakib Al Hasan did not have the best of tournaments, scoring just 186 runs from seven matches 

Maheesh Theekshana had a below-par World Cup, scalping just six wickets from eight games
