World Senior Citizens Day: Top states where India's elderly thrive

Most of the southern states in India have a high elderly population compared to northern states, and this trend is expected to continue, according to the India Ageing Report 2023.

On World Senior Citizens Day, take a look at the fastest-ageing states in India in 2021 compared to the expected elderly population in 2036:
