Xiaomi
Could Replace
MIUI
with
MiOS For Phones
Xiaomi is likely to end the MIUI journey with a new platform soon.
The company is reportedly working on MiOS platform that will replace MIUI.
MIUI has been powering millions of Xiaomi phones and tablets over the years.
But it is suggested that Xiaomi could follow Huawei's path for an all-new mobile OS.
The brand could use Android Open Source Project (AOSP) to build a new mobile platform.
It is possible that Xiaomi could limit the new os MiOS to China and continue with MIUI for other markets.
Xiaomi does rely on Google apps for markets outside of China which will pose issues for the new mobile OS.
Xiaomi has introduced the Android 13-based MIUI 14 version in the market.
The Android 14 version of MIUI should be made available in the coming months.
