YouTube Shorts To Offer 3-Minute-Long Videos: All You Need To Know
Producer: Priyanka DasEditor: Manuj Yadav
YouTube Shorts will support longer videos, allowing creators to upload content up to 3 minutes long starting October 15.
This update comes in response to creator feedback, as it was one of the most requested features, providing more opportunities for storytelling.
The change will only affect videos with a square or vertical aspect ratio, and any videos uploaded prior to the implementation date will remain unaffected.
Furthermore, YouTube has committed to enhancing its recommendations for longer Shorts in the coming month.
Additionally, the platform now allows users to recreate their favourite Shorts using templates.
These templates come with fresh music and unique elements, enabling users to experiment with the latest trends. To utilise these templates, users can simply select the “Remix” option on a favourite short and click “Use this template.”
In the coming months, YouTube will expand the content accessible through the Shorts camera, allowing users to remix music videos, clips from their favourite videos, and more seamlessly.
This new feature will enable users to extract content from various YouTube videos, enhancing their creative options and interactivity on the platform.
