Ingredients 1 cup paneer, cut into cubes Oil, as required For the masala 1 tbsp oil 2 green cardamom 1/2 inch cinnamon stick 1 tbsp ginger garlic, finely chopped 2 green chillies, chopped 1 cup onions, thinly sliced 1/4 cup walnuts 1 small tomato, chopped 1/2 cup mint leaves 1/2 cup coriander leaves
Other ingredients 1 tsp oil 1/2 tsp shahi jeera 1 star anise 1 black cardamom 2-3 cloves 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 1-1/2 tsp coriander powder 1 tsp garam masala powder Salt, to taste 2-3 tbsp fresh cream (optional) 1 tsp kasuri methi, crushed
Heat oil in a pan. Add paneer cubes and pan fry from both the sides. Keep aside.
Heat oil in another pan. Add cardamom, cinnamon and cook for a few seconds. Add ginger, garlic, green chillies and cook for a few minutes.
Add onions and cook until lightly browned. Add walnuts, tomatoes, mint, coriander and cook for a few more minutes. Once this mixture cools down, grind to a paste.
Heat oil in the same pan. Add whole spices and let it cook for a few seconds.
Add in the ground paste, spice powders and cook until til it leaves oil.
Once done, add cream and mix well.
Add the pan-fried paneer cubes, kasuri methi, mix and enjoy.
